What are the best practices for welcoming guests to our churches?

There are many ways that pastors can help each other. One of those ways is by sharing your thoughts or practices in various areas of ministry. In answering the question above, share your thoughts or practices you are currently using or have used in the past.

Our church tracks guests weekly and we invite those guests to a "Getting to know you luncheon" provided by the church family. We invite 4 members of the LBA and their families (rotating basis); staff personell including all Pastors, Childrens workers, youth, and music personell. It is a Sunday lunch where the staff greets new families and inform them of church ministries. It lasts about 1 1/2. We try to keep it simple. Table name tags; favors; and take home materials are provided. We have about 3 luncheons/year... Pastor Andy, Warsaw Wesleyan
